Mutag Biochip Biofilter Mbbr Biocell Filter Media Biologically Mbbr Mediums
Mutag Biochip History
Based on more than 20 years of experience in MBBR systems, MUTAG developed the Mutag BioChip in 2008, which forms the heart of today's MUTAG fluidized bed process - Mutag MBBR Process.
Mutag BioChip is a high performance MBBR filler that provides a protected active surface area of >5,500 m2/m3 to immobilize microorganisms responsible for different biochemical water treatment processes. Its application has a very high decontamination rate and reliable process stability.
Mutag Biochip Function
In order to comply with the water quality required by fish or other aquatic creatures, the organic contaminants and the nitrogen compounds to be found in the water mainly as ammonium have to be removed. Hence, the reduction of nitrogen down to a level which is nonhazardous to the fish is one of the major tasks of the treatment system in recirculating aquaculture systems. The "Mutag BioChip™ RAS Process" is perfectly suitable for this purpose.
Mutag Biochip Advantages
(1) Outer diameter 30mm, protected surface area up to 5,500m²/m³;
(2) Extremely high removal capacity: Maximize the active biomass concentration in a limited reaction volume;
(3) Self - cleaning effect: Optimal substrate and 02 diffusion and constant biomass thickness;
(4) Suitable for large bore diameter of 20mm retention screens with anti - clogging effect;
(5) Durable: No need for replacement or substitution and long life services.
